Bo is a husky/shepherd mix, but you would never know it by his behavior. He is a very gentle dog although he does vocalize sometimes. He is very loving and gets along great with children and adults. We have two other dogs in the house and he basically ignores them. All he wants is cuddles and neck scratches. Bo likes to play, but sometimes doesn't know how, he tries his best. Although he is only around 7 years old, he acts older. Bo has seasonal Allergies that affect his eyes- treated with Zyrtec and occasional Prednisone. Recently, Bo was diagnosed with arthritis in his rear hips- treated with Librela (monthly shot) and glucosamine (daily chew). His active level has improved since starting the Librela! Bo did have Lyme disease and has some lingering symptoms; selective hearing (pretends not to hear you, but has no official hearing loss that we know of), and some klutziness. Bo is exhibiting signs of anxiety that we are treating with chews at this point. I believe it is related to boredom, rather than true anxiety. If your home, he needs to know where his people are and be keep active/engaged throughout the day. He is fine on his own if no one is home for about 6 hours. Reason for rehome: Bo was adopted for my teen son. He is now graduated and working full time, 10+ hours a day. Bo does not get the time and attention he needs. I believe with a more active family, his anxiety would improve. We lead a pretty sedentary lifestyle, have some health issues and are not meeting his needs for stimulation and activity.
