I regret to post this and I hope those out there looking to comment can be slow to judge but I am trying to do what I can before we just return to the humane society we adopted him from. This is Dallas. He is a one year old Siberian Husky. He was rescued from the streets where he lived through torment and starvation. We were told he was good with other animals during the adoption process but unfortunately that didn't turn out to be as we had hoped. His aggression toward our other rescues has heightened and just recently he almost killed our newest addition that was adopted the same day. All of these altercations were unprovoked. I can say he would do the very best in a home without any other furry family members. He tolerates other animals for a short while but it quickly escalates. I don't fault him for this as his previous life was very difficult and I am sure his ability to resource guard was needed. I can tell you that in every other aspect he is the sweetest boy. He loves walks, snuggles, belly rubs, treats and the occasional al sun bath. He doesn't bark which is a huge bonus. He loves everyone he meets and is so very great with kids big and small. He doesn't mind his kennel and goes into it nicely but only for a short period. Anything too long in duration causes anxiety in him and accidents to occur. If you or anyone you know might be interested please let me know. Again, I wouldn't be taking this step if the lives of our other animals weren't of concern. Thank you so much for your help.
