He has been around them but will chase them if they run. ----- Suitable for: home with a fenced yard. ----- Medical/Behavioral Needs: Nervous with new people, shy ----- Additional Notes: Welcome Clay! Clay has had a bit of a rough go lately. His owner passed away and so he came to rescue with his buddy, Happy. These two are a dynamic duo. They really like one another and are definitely seeking comfort thorugh familiarity. Clay was slow to warm up to us but he is coming around. Once he does trust, he is super loving. He needs and deserves a patient owner. Due to his shyness and fear, we do not recommend young children/toddlers who will get in his face and expect him to tolerate it. It is very important that animals are given time to settle in and adjust, especially with they have experienced something traumatic. Clay is a nice size little guy. He is exceptionally clean and well mannered too! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If interested in meeting and potentially adopting please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. Once processed and approved a meet and greet can be scheduled and if a match an adoption is finalized at that time. Adoption fee is $175 and all dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for any known medical needs. Breeds are not guaranteed but often a best guess. Housetraining is not guaranteed but crate training is worked on with all residents. If a yard is present, a secure fence is required.
