About Trixie

TRIXIE is a sweet-as-can-be 5 year old, 8 pound Chihuahua who came to us from another rescue. This absolutely perfect little girl will melt your heart! Trixie was very scared when she came in and her foster family was expecting her to take a decent amount of time to decompress. Well, within a few hours in her foster home, she decided she was good to go and settled right in! Since then, she has become her foster mom's shadow and is rarely more than a few feet away. She loves pets, scratches and being held. She will give you kisses anytime she gets an opportunity and gives the best hugs ever. When meeting new people she is scared and will cling to her foster mom, but if you give her a little time, she opens right up and will love you too! Trixie has started playing with the other little dogs in her foster home and enjoys a good game of tug of war with her foster parents. She loves to do zoomies in the yard and chase her foster siblings. She is house trained and will use a pee pad if she can not get out in time. She has only been on a leash and harness once and she definitely needs work on it. A fenced yard is required. At night, she snuggles up to her foster mom all night long in the big bed. Trixie has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, spayed, heartworm negative, has had a 12 month ProHeart heart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. MORE about TRIXIE: Older kids would be ok, cats are an unknown. She is a little nervous on car rides but getting better. She has a silky soft coat that you could pet all day.
