Charming lives up to the name in nearly every way. He is a sweet 4-year-old lab mix, a great companion who follows me around, loves belly rubs, maintains a very regular eating and bathroom schedule, and sleeps with me. The problem is that Charming suffers from anxiety issues that cause him to be aggressive toward other dogs. Because of a biting incident involving my girlfriend's dog -- combined with the difficulty of walking him in a suburban area where we see dogs constantly -- I have to give him up. The shelter where I adopted him won't take him back and has scheduled a 'behavioral euthanasia for Wednesday, Oct. 30. I have been scrambling to find him a new home, but if I can't, I'm afraid I will have to go through with euthanasia even though it is tearing me up because I LOVE this dog. I feel that Charming can thrive in a situation where he has minimal contact with other dogs, perhaps a house with a big yard. That is what I'm seeking. He is a good soul -- and great with people!
