We got a message to intake Lilo after she had been struggling to walk and eat for several days. We pointed the owner to as many resources for assistance as we could think of but surrendering was their preference so Lilo came to rescue on emergency intake for care. She arrived at rescue barely able to walk, extremely stiff, and falling on her face. Our vet is leaning towards a spinal injury and possible concussion causing the vomiting. She is on an injection and we are monitoring her to see if she starts to recover. If she still struggles, we will pursue more testing. Lilo is a loving girl. She enjoys belly rubs and sitting in the sunshine. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If interested in meeting and potentially adopting please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. Once processed and approved a meet and greet can be scheduled and if a match an adoption is finalized at that time. Adoption fee is $175 and all dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for any known medical needs. Breeds are not guaranteed but often a best guess. Housetraining is not guaranteed but crate training is worked on with all residents. If a yard is present, a secure fence is required.
