About Sweety

Sweety is 3-4 years old, 60 lbs and pure sugar! She's calm for her breed and very smart, quickly learning to use stairs in her foster parent's home. Sweety is fully housetrained and prefers doing business in the backyard rather than on walks. She has a pleasant demeanor, walks beautifully on a leash (even a child could walk her), and stays right by your side. She does get excited about squirrels but responds well to a quick correction or tug. She knows 'sit', she is treat-motivated and takes them gently. Sweety loves to give kisses and greets kids, adults, and dogs with polite sniffing and tail wags, showing no signs of food or water guarding. She is interested in making friends with her foster family's resident cat but has had limited interaction, so we cannot accurately say how she does with kitties just yet! Sweety enjoys 3 daily walks ranging from 20-45 minutes and prefers company during yard time. She plays well with other dogs, matching their energy, and would thrive in a household with other dogs. She doesn't chew up furniture or household items and does great unsupervised for 6-7 hours. Sweety loves car rides! She loves to trot around the pet store once a week, carefully weighing and balancing her personal preference of just one item to take home. One week, she chose a bone and another, a cookie! She loves mealtime, and her 'gator chomp' excitement is adorable when her food is being prepared. Sweety is an easy-going, affectionate girl with a sweet 'dobby face,' ready to find her forever home soon.
