About Chives

Handsome Chives is 1yr old, energetic, fun loving boy. He will happily greet you at the door with his stuffy or other toys. He loves to play fetch and go for walks. He would be the perfect hiking or walking buddy to take on adventures. With his kind of energy he would do great with an energetic person and a big yard to play in. Chives loves other dogs! He would love to have another canine friend in his home to help burn off energy. With an energetic boy like Chives, a home without younger children would be ideal for him. He doesn't know his own strength and could knock them over in play. Chives loves with his whole heart and wants to please and protect his person. He does get nervous and protective with new people entering the home. He has nipped at people he doesn't know. He has never broken skin, though. Once his person shows him this new person is okay, he will greet them with happiness. He is housetrained, but needs a routine with going. He is also smart, and knows basic commands like 'Sit' and 'Stay'. He's a quick learner thanks to his food motivation. He's still working on his basic manners, but with some patience and continued training, he's sure to impress.
