Pit Bull
Age: Young Adult

COURTESY POST FOR PRIVATE OWNER Meet Tia! If there were ever a butt wiggling contest, this silly girl would take first prize. She loves to shake her booty and bring you a toy to welcome loved ones home. Tia is a sweet three-year-old, 68-pound pit bull terrier who doesn't need much to feel content. A true homebody, her daily happiness recipe consists of three simple ingredients. Fetch! Tia is a diehard retriever. She runs hard and fast to fetch any kind of ball and does so with a huge pittie smile. She actually prefers to play in her own yard rather than go on walks or have extensive exercise. Tricks! Tia also loves one-on-one training. She'll gladly sit, shake, stay, or do some other action, though don't forget the treats. Chilling out! Tia is a master of cuddling and relaxing. She's always ready for anything involving blankets, pillows, tummy rubs, and snuggles. With her fawn coat and green eyes, you'll be hard-pressed to find such a pretty bully. She also has a big heart, and is naturally empathetic and loving. She has no separation anxiety or destructive behavior, and she's fully house trained so you can let her roam freely when you are away. She'd rather stay home for a nap than go with you, though she likes car rides. Tia currently enjoys rural life with a senior couple. They live on a dead-end street, which is on a lake. Her yard is large and completely fenced in, except for the water side. Tia loves wading, exploring the woodsy yard, and of course playing with balls. She does have a keen interest in critters, but lucky for squirrels her prey drive is manageable. Her owners love her, but they will be downsizing to a warmer climate in a suburban development that has lots of people and dog traffic as well as association restrictions. She would not do well in this tight living environment because she is dog-reactive. She requires a tall privacy fence which is not allowed. Tia does not do well with fellow canines, but she loves people and is easy to please. She is in excellent health, UTD, spayed, and on heartworm/flea/tick preventives. Her pet health insurance will remain covered and she comes with sessions from her current trainer. However, any reputable trainer her adopter may want will be paid for Her owners would like to rehome this special dog to a special person. She truly is a wonderful, easy-to-please girl, but has special needs due to her reactivity to other dogs. Tia's wish list makes both her life and your life easy: Caring dog lovers who will continue her recipe for happiness. A fenced yard in a quiet area and minimal dog traffic. Experience with dog-reactive dogs. . Please email [email protected] if you are interested in adopting Tia. This is a home-to-home adoption. Thank you!
