We're looking to find a new and better home for our dog, Lenny. We are so sad that this didn't work out because Lenny really is a sweet, smart, goofy boy. We rescued him about 5 weeks ago and he needs more attention than we anticipated/are able to give. He's a little over one year old, 40 pounds, neutered, up to date on all vaccines/flea + heart worm preventative. He does shed but not very much. He's potty trained and sleeps through the night in his crate. He shows no signs of fear or aggression - he's really curious and seems to love all people (wagging his tail and walking up to strangers on the street for example). He's picked up commands quickly such as sit, down, touch, and stay. Lenny loves playing tug and chewing on his toys. He has interacted with other dogs while on the leash and seems to do well with them. We've never seen him around cats. He has a lot of puppy energy. He will jump up on people, and he can get nippy/mouthy, but can be redirected with a toy. He has some separation anxiety (like barking for a little when he's in the crate and we're doing stuff in the house), and he gets high energy zoomies sometimes . Lenny would do best with someone/a family that has flexibility in their schedule (ideally a stay at home parent or work from home job). Someone with willingness and ability to put in the time/energy to train him is important. If you have prior experience training a dog and/or the ability to pay for a trainer/dog daycare that would be great. His breed(s) are our best guess but we do not officially know what breed(s) he is.
