Courtesy Posting: LOS ANGELES, CA (So Cal) - ID #A2150247 - 'LUNA'- 1 YR, 41 LB BEAUTIFUL SPITZ BREED GIRL, LISTED AS SCHIPPERKE AND CHOW (TONGUE IS PINK), GOOD W/VOLUNTEERS, HAS BEEN OK W/OTHER DOGS - AVAILABLE TO ADOPT AT WEST LOS ANGELES LOCATION, LOS ANGELES ANIMAL SERVICES, MAY NEED FOSTER AND RESCUE IF NO ONE ADOPTS HER SOON X URGENT! SHELTER IS FULL Help!! WE ARE LOOKING FOR A LOVING AND RESPONSIBLE HOME OR FOSTER AND RESCUE FOR LUNA as the shelter named her. She was found as a stray and was quickly adopted to a home with kids who returned her, saying she did not do well with them. However, at the shelter, on multiple assessments, Luna did well with volunteers and we can share the full notes form these interactions. Here are a few of these notes: 'No issues getting her out of her kennel. She enjoyed running back and forth with dogs in adjacent yards. She likes playing with water in the pool, and resting on the cot when she needed a break. After about 25 minutes of active running, she walked with me happily panting towards the gate ready to go back, and very well-behaved on returning.' 'No issues taking out of her kennel and was non reactive to other dogs. Once in the play yard, she got a little jumpy but easily redirected. She didn't engage with me much, but did enjoy a lot of zoomies and running around the yard by herself. She would lay on the kuranda, and then begin to start running around. She has a lot of energy and she is young, so she should and hopefully gets out more often. She is a good dog and was non reactive or even paid attention to the dog in the next yard over. She`s happy and likes to play.' 'She enjoys booty rubs while she pushes her body to your legs. Sweet girl. No issues returning.' Just over 1 year old, Luna is energetic and likes to play. While the shelter listed her as a chow and schipperke mix due to her spitzy look, she has a pink tongue and shiny black coat and seems to be another spitz breed other than chow. Unfortunately, because the shelter is full, she sadly can be euthanized for space soon. She has been waiting since September for a home. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting Luna, please contact the shelter immediately by calling (888) 452-7381 and reference her applicable ID, or go to the shelter website and express interest using the listing link: Here is her listing link: https://24petconnect.com/DetailsMain/LACT2/A2150247 Or, if you are interested just to foster, or foster to adopt, or if you need further help, please contact [email protected] or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network asap as we are trying to find foster as rescues need a place for her to go. The shelter also offers a foster program for local residents. Let's find a good home or foster now for Luna.
