About 'NILA WAFER'

SHELTER IS FULL Help!! WE ARE LOOKING FOR A LOVING AND RESPONSIBLE HOME OR FOSTER AND RESCUE FOR NILA WAFER as the shelter fondly named him. The poor guy was found dumped in neglected condition. Despite this and his age, Nila Wafter moves about great, and has wonderful behavior notes we can share in full. Here are a few of these notes: 1)'He allowed me to wet his fur, apply shampoo, and scrub with both my hands as well as a glove/brush. He really leaned into the pets and scritches, especially on his back/butt area. He offered a few barks, but was mostly pretty quiet and calm. I rinsed him after shampooing and he tolerated the entire experience well. Once we were finished, I toweled him off and then took him for a walk in the parking lot to finish drying off. He enjoyed the walk and had great leash manners. After the walk, I put him in a big yard to finish drying in the sun. He was very well behaved and was even easier to return to his kennel. He is such a sweet boy!' 'He is incredibly sweet and calm. He seems to be totally house broken and will hold until he's outside. He loves attention, staying close to you for pets. If left alone in a yard he`ll wait in the same spot. He was friendly to everyone he met and was dog tested with Stud. He showed no interest in interacting, calmly accepting his presence. He was friendly but rather kept to himself and staying close to people.He is such a sweet darling pup. 2) 'He walked right at my side and looked up as if asking for a treat which was provided. He has thick fur, some matted spots which he seemed to enjoy being petted. I started with his head/ears which he leaned into. He enjoys a full body pet/rub, particularly near his tail. At the end of this yard time, he layed next to me, as I was sitting on the ground, accepting pets/touch all over his body. He seemed relaxed as he watched Coco meeting with a family in the neighboring yard. Returning him to his hallway crate was easily done. He did not pull nor resisted going back into his crate. I gave him some final pets and treats before closing his crate. Given his excellent leash manners and comfort with touch, Nilla Wafer seems to be housebroken. He is incredibly sweet and calm. He was friendly but rather kept to himself and staying close to people. He is such a sweet darling pup.' Nila Wafer is such as sweet guy, but his prior owners perhaps could not afford any medical. He does has some noted periodontal disease that should be addressed, possibly with his neuter that will be scheduled with the shelter, or as follow up care. Or, perhaps you can consider to foster through a rescue to assist with this.
