About Arlo

Arlo is the goofiest boy. He always makes us laugh. He also is a very good boy. House broken, crate trained, has been through training so knows sit, down, stay, leave it (sometimes he hesitates with but will do it), and drop it (this one is hard, trade for treat works). Arlo is a very loving dog. He loves to cuddle and snuggle. He loves belly rubs and playing tug but, chasing a flirt pole is his absolute favorite. Arlo is a great card rider. He's calm in the car. He likes to hike. A few things to know: Arlo is a high arousal dog and EVERYTHING he does is the most exciting thing he has ever done. This can make greeting new people and leash walking challenging sometimes. Given a few minutes he is able to get his thoughts together and calms right down. After that he is good. Also to know: Arlo needs to be the ONLY animal in the home. He has high prey drive and resource guarding towards other dogs. The resource guarding is why we are in this unfortunate situation.
