About Cameo

Cameo aka Kami is a sweet and cuddly 14 month-old AussieX, who wants to be your best friend forever. She is a healthy 49 pounds, spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on all inoculations and monthly flea and tick meds. She came to AFS from Cleveland, Ohio, after a summer of being on her own and found by Animal Control. She came to ASF in late August and has been in foster care in suburban Philadelphia. Kami is an easy walker and likes to sniff at everything on her daily walks. She sleeps all night in a kennel. She is excited to see you in the morning, and has to be reminded not to jump up to greet you. Her favorite thing is petting, and she demands that you use one hand on your keyboard and one hand petting her head. She knows the command to sit, which is reinforced throughout the day. She has house manners, but can be an excited pee-er. On a leash, she comes when called and knows to 'leave it' when she senses deer, squirrels, or other wildlife are nearby. She rides very well in a car, and shows no difficulty being left on her own - if one has to leave her for a short period of time. Being on the smaller side, she would adapt to apartment living with the right amount of daily attention to her continued training and needs. She likes other dogs with proper introductions. Not good with cats or chickens and not tested with small children. Ideally, someone working from home And with an outdoor lifestyle would be an ideal parent for Kami.
