Josie is a true cuddle bug-she loves nothing more than climbing into your lap and nuzzling her face into yours for extra snuggles. She's playful with toys but is generally low-energy and perfectly content lounging by your side. Whether you're watching TV or reading, Josie will happily keep you company. Josie has had a rough start. It's clear she was used for breeding, but her days of being a momma are over. She's looking forward to being the baby in someone else's life, where she can be the one receiving all the love and care she's missed out on. Physically, Josie's legs are slightly deformed and angled, which doesn't slow her down now, but may lead to arthritis or mobility challenges as she ages. There's no immediate treatment needed, but her adopter should be aware of this as she gets older. Despite everything she's been through, Josie remains nothing but sweet, goofy, and resilient. Currently, Josie is also recovering from being severely underweight. She's on her way to gaining back the pounds she needs, and until she reaches a healthy weight, she needs 3 meals a day. It's best for her to eat in a crate to avoid distractions, but with patience and care, Josie will soon be back to her healthy self.
