About Sophie

This pretty gal is Sophie. She is 2 years old and weighs 42lbs. DNA tells us she is see half Cattle Dog. Sophie has had professional training and knows a lot: Sit, stay, come, shake, wait, down, hit it (a bell), leave it, off, go to your bed, inside (to signify go inside the crate). She is also house trained. She is very smart and liked to learn. Sophie is great with people of all ages. She loves to greet people and does still jump up sometimes, so isn't a fit for small kids who can be knocked over. Sophie is great with other dogs outside the home. She is friendly with dogs when she is boarded, and the boarding facility has even used her to help evaluate new dogs. She is the queen of the dog park and will befriend any dog who wants to play with her. She tends to choose large dog playmates over small, but will play with anyone. She must live at home as an only dog, though. She doesn't want to share the house. Sophia is a master at a herding ball. She loves to swim in the ocean, rivers, and any body of water (especially kiddie pools) - total water dog. She is also good on leash and in the car. She is a good travel buddy. Sophie is the biggest lovebug ever. She loves to cuddle. When given the opportunity, she will lay in your lap and be the queen of cuddles. Sophie is an amazing girl, best friend and adventure partner material. She simply needs to be the only dog at home. Sophie is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. She is located in Santa Ynez, CA. Adopters must be able to meet and adopt here. We do not ship our dogs. A home visit and vet reference are required to adopt.
