About Taffy

Taffy is a 5 year old AKC Golden Retriever. She spent the first 5 years of her life being bred over & over by amish in rural michigan. She is not adjusting to life in an apartment and needs to be rehomed to someone with a securely fenced in yard and someone who continue to give her the Prozac she has been prescribed. She is an incredibly well behaved dog, but she is so terrified of the world that she will not pee or poop unless she is in a fenced in area she feels secure in. SHE IS A HIGH FLIGHT RISK. I will only consider homes that have a securely fenced in yard and homes that do not have children younger than 13 in them (kids tend to be forgetful of securing gates and doors) She is perfect with all other dogs, cats, livestock, small animals, etc. She takes time to warm up to new people. She is housebroken and crate trained however it's not necessary to crate her, as she is non-destructive when left home alone. Does great in the car and at the groomers and vets. Loves playing fetch and going to the dog park. She is UTD on all vaccines and preventatives and had an appointment to be spayed through Spay & Neuter Express in Otsego, Michigan on December 19th at 8:30am. If you wish to keep this appointment it will cost around $175 for the spay and I can transfer the appointment from under my name to yours. However it is your choice whether you want to have her spayed or not and I will respect that under the promise you won't breed her. I am going to be incredibly picky about who she goes to. Expect to provide video proof of a physically fenced in yard via text messaging or email if I cannot do a home visit. You must agree to continue to give her the Prozac provided from me that she takes twice a day. Please tell me the ages of everyone in the home and why you think you could provide a safe and secure environment for Taffy.
