Please fill out our adoption questionnaire at https://socalweimrescue.org/pages/adopt!!!! Meet 6 year old Slater. He is the lover of big dogs but smaller dogs look a little like prey to him so he tends to chase. He loves kids and has lived with cats. He might need a slow introduction because of his smaller animal 'chase' instinct. He was used to the cats in his home so cohabitation was good. Slater came to us because his family tried really hard after moving into an apartment but it wasn't fitting his temperament. It meant more walks...and what do you see on walks? Squirrels, bunnies, other small dogs. His mom, being on the small size got pulled on numerous occasions when Slater took chase. He is a lovable dog and will lay his head in your lap for petting. He knows commands Lay down, sit, stand up, give me paw, look at me, leave it. He can be left alone without crating without destruction but WILL get into the trash if left alone. His family used to take on nice walks and swims in the river before the living situation changed. He LOVES squeaky toys!! (have something to do with small animals?) We will know much more about Slater as we get to know him. He IS neutered and up to date on vaccines with no medical issues at 6 years old. He has a longer docked tail. Beautiful boy needing a good home. Best fir will have no small dogs but larger dogs and kids are ok. Fill out the application! He will be fostered temporarily in Northern La County Area in Santa Clarita
