Her name is Bunny because she hops when she is excited. This sweet young (1 year) medium sized girl (40 pounds) is filled with happy energy. She is really a great size - not too big, easy to handle. She loves everyone she meets - dogs and people (cats we aren't sure of). She was living as a stray but that hasn't stoped her from having an enthusiatic trust in people. This is what her short-term fosters have to say about her: 'Bunny is sweet, smart, affectionate, happy, and exuberant! She is perfectly house-trained, crate-trained, and knows the sit command; she'd be very teachable for other behaviors IMO. Bunny is very motivated by treats and attention so we think she will be a quick learner. We think she would do well either with a doggie sibbling or as an only dog as long as she got plenty of play time with friends. She would do great with someone who likes to hikes or go out to events with their dog. What a great outgoing young pup to become your favorite companion!' Bunny is a young girl and has energy which sometimes manifest as zoomies - a fenced back yard would be preferrable for this active girl. Bunny loves the yard and being outside, but she will need to be monitored. She is very curious and prey-driven (so probably no cats), and has to be watched for digging - possible escape artist in the making! On walks she has been highly sniff-driven and when she's following a scent she pulls very strongly. The crate is an excellent tool to calm her down and she's very comfortable going into and staying in the crate overall. She also enjoys lick pads, toys, and chews to keep her busy.
