Courtesy Posting: CODE RED- MODESTO, CA, Nor Cal - 10/15- SWEET BEAR WAS ADDED TO EUTH LIST FOR SPACE, TO BE PTS SAT 10/19, CAN ADOPTED OR RESCUED! RESCUES NEED A FOSTER TO RESCUE HIM! - ID #A548370 NEEDS OUT ASAP OF STANISLAUS ANIMAL SERVICES AGENCY-PEOPLE FRIENDLY, OK W OTHER DOGS. SWEET, ADORABLE CHOW X BOY 'BEAR' is at a HIGH KILL and VERY FULL SHELTER, TO BE EUTHANIZED SATURDAY IF WE CANNOT FIND A HOME OR FOSTER and RESCUE Please help us find a good home or foster. We have an interested rescue IF we can find a foster in N Cal. Please contact Robin Applebaum-Morgan via pm or email as comments on shared pages may not be seen. His nice bio describes him as 'Bear is your man! His favorite thing is to go outside in the yard and explore and sniff all the smells! He was more interested in doing his own thing than coming to interact. Don't worry, he can entertain himself! Even though he's an independent boy he still doesn't mind affection. Even in the chaos and loud shelter, Bear remained calm and nonreactive to other dogs barking in the kennels. He also has the cutest ears, they are so little and flop over, I love them! Bear does have some patches on his neck and flank where he is missing hair, a vet visit should be in order to check his thyroid levels. Bear tested well with other dogs, he's more interested in going off on his own and sniffing around but was very tolerant of other dogs greeting him and saying hello. I think a mellow dog like him would be a good match play wise, an over excited puppy may be too much for him.' Bear is believed to be only 4 years young and weighs 60 lbs. We are desperately looking for a caring home, or foster and or rescue (again, please note rescue groups NEED fosters) to save Bear in time. For direct adoption or rescue inquiries, please contact the shelter asap with ID on subject line and email [email protected] Since rescue groups likely need a foster to save Bear, if you are interested in fostering, please also contact [email protected] asap or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network who is trying to assist with his placement, and we can try to pair you with a rescue to help or foster or adopt through. Rescues should also contact Chandra Looney, Operations Supervisor/Rescue Coordinator (209) 876-9416 and email [email protected] We will also be posting updates, additional pictures and videos on facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/g7UsXMH2KQ5ye2Vq/?mibextid=WC7FNe
