About Alfie

ALFIE is a 1 year old, 8.1 pound Terrier mix that was surrendered by his owner due to a housing situation. He is a loving, friendly boy who loves his people and loves adventure! He will make the most wonderful best friend for a very lucky human! ALFIE is an energetic little sweetheart! He wants to be with his person as much as possible and does not like to be alone. He would be so happy with someone who will take him everywhere. He would especially love an active family for outings, like hiking and boating. He has been kayaking with his foster mom and loved it! He loves to be held, is the ultimate lap dog, and gives kisses freely. He is always by his foster mom, unless he's playing with the other dogs, big or small! He was in a home with another little dog and would be happy with a furry friend in his new home. But he would also be happy as an only dog with a family who could spend a lot of time with him! Alfie was not housebroken when he came in but his foster mom has been working with him. He is in a home with several other male dogs and occasionally does mark where another dog has marked. A home with a fenced yard is preferred. At night he sleeps snuggled under the covers with his foster mom. Alfie has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, neutered, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. MORE about ALFIE: Alfie doesn't share food and guards treats. We have not had him around cats or kids, but there were older kids in his prior home and he was fine with them. He can be barky when left alone but we believe that will stop once he knows his people are coming back for him!
