About Ollie

Adoption Fee: $100
Bull Terrier mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Meet Ollie! %BD%BD He is a 3-year-old, *30 pound, neutered, adorable mix. We're fostering him (and we will miss him terribly) but we know that he will make his forever family incredibly lucky. He is pure sweetness! He's a very cuddly little dude who likes to be with his people more than anything. He enjoys hanging with his Doberman foster brother, Zorro. He's been gentle and courteous to our senior cat, Max. He also seems to adore kids! He's a good car rider. He (impressively) doesn't pull while on walks. He hasn't shown any aggression at all. He isn't possessive over bones, toys, beds, the couch, people, etc. He hasn't chewed any household objects either. He does have a high interest in food, but knows how to take it gently from your hands. He has no issues with us putting our hands in his food bowl. He's a good sleeper who sleeps straight through the night and wakes up when we do. He's an all-around lovebug and easy-going guy. He'd do best in a family where you work from home, are retired or there are multiple family members coming and going often. Ollie's background: He was surrendered to the local animal shelter on September 19th, 2024 and spent about 3 weeks there. It's insane that no one scooped him up before then. He is such a gem. The staff were all very sweet to him, but it was just the environment that took its toll. He looked nothing like his smiley intake photos and he had lost about 10 pounds due to depression and anxiety. Since bringing him home, he's become a happy, goofy boy. Because of Ollie's background, here are a few areas where he could use some polishing... - Getting back into a consistent potty break routine during the day. - He has counter-surfed a few times. He's been responsive to clapping our hands and telling him no (and the occasional squirt of water from the spray bottle). He's learning well. %BD%BD If he sounds like the family member you've been looking for, please ask about him. He has been through so much in his short 3 years, so he's only going to go to a stable home with lots of love and care. He has so much love to give back. *At the time of his intake at the shelter, he was 38 pounds. However, when we picked him up, he was about 27 pounds.
