Rye is a 2yo Catahoula mix. We have had her since she was a puppy. She is great with most dogs. Currently she lives on our 5 acre property with my husband and I, our 2 teenage children, a female doberman, male doberman, female boxer, female lab mix and her female littermate. She gets along with all of the dogs except the female doberman (at times) who is the dominant one of our pack. Rye continues to challenge her and they've gotten into a few squabbles. Our lives are too busy and hectic to have to manage 2 alpha dogs right now. She is very submissive to people. She can be food aggressive with other dogs but not in the least with people. I can literally take a steak out of her mouth. She has been around a lot of people (men, women, and children) as we have a large extended family and have many functions and events on our property. She is very loving, protective, and loves to snuggle. She sleeps with my husband and I every night (along with one or two of the other dogs). At about 6mos old, she spent 3 weeks with a professional trainer who is a retired K9 handler and continues to train sheriff's K9s. It's heartbreaking to rehome her because she's such a sweet girl but we can't manage her and the female doberman at this time.
