Shiloh is in urgent need of rescue. His caregiver is recently homeless and needs to find him a place to go by this Thursday, Oct. 17th. She tells us she has contacted over 50 rescues, but has not yet had any luck. She rescued him from a bad situation and has had him for 8 months. Name: Shiloh Age: 11 months (estimated) Breed: 'German mix breed', 50 - 60 pounds Sex: Male, not neutered Location: Richland County, OH Vet Info: Shiloh is not neutered. His caregiver tells us he is current with vaccines but has not had a recent heartworm test. She believes Shiloh is partially blind, but does not know the cause. His caregiver gives him CBD twice a day - one full dropper in the morning for separation anxiety while he's alone, and one full dropper at bedtime for general anxiety to help him sleep. Dog Info: Shiloh is an indoor dog confined to one area of the house. We're told he is housebroken and leash trained, and knows several commands, including Wait, Sit, Down, No, Timeout, and more! He is crate trained but doesn't really like it, but he's good in a small enclosed room with his toys. His caregiver tells us he is also very food driven. Shiloh's caregiver writes that he's good with men (prefers men over women), women, and female dogs, and gave us more details about his personality: 'He is great with female dogs he is ok with males but he tried to dominate bc he's still intact otherwise hes good with males. He is absolutely not good with small children or small animals / cats Small children is because he's rough when playing and plows through everything..' Shiloh also has a high prey drive and can not be around small animals or cats. His caregiver adds, 'Once he believes you to be safe and can relax he's a very sweet.' Shiloh needs time to warm up upon first meeting, but once he does, we're told he's very sweet and loyal, and loves to cuddle and play tug of war. He has snapped at his caregiver's mother, but has never bitten out of aggression or drawn blood. His caregiver shared details: 'He is afraid of the dark and it was night time when it occurred. He does warn before hand 1 st warning is a soft low growl , 2nd warning is a low growl but he increases the volume. If none of those give him the space he was asking for he jumps up to snap. He has never drawn blood. I already have a brand new muzzle for him that will come with him as well...He has NEVER bitten anyone or anything out of aggression he is supervised during play and is never left alone.' Shiloh also likes to play! 'He is absolutely hilarious when he frolics and hops like a rabbit. This means he is super happy.' Shiloh's caregiver also wants us to know he is afraid of the dark and has anxiety. He hates brooms and mops, and it's possible he's had bad experiences with them. He'll use his paws to find you or communicate. Shiloh is looking for his hero! **Owner Surrender Disclaimer: These are blind and visually impaired dogs who are living in homes, but their owners can no longer keep them.
