About Shya

Shya is a 1 year 3-month-old petite Shepherd mix, weighing about 28lbs. She was found as a stray and taken to a shelter where she was due to be euthanized but was saved by an emergency foster at the last minute. She now needs her forever home as soon as possible. Shya is very sweet and loving, but timid at first and just needs a little time to warm up to people (it only took an hour or so for her to settle into her foster home). Once she does, she will be your cuddle-bug-best-friend-Velcro-dog! Treats and belly rubs are the way to her heart. Shya gets on well with other dogs. Submissive and cautious at first, she loves to chase and be chased by small dogs, or dogs her own size. Wrestling is also great fun! She is good with large, chill dogs, but scared of boisterous dogs, or dogs that bark continually. She is smart and has a lovely temperament. She would make a wonderful addition to the right individual/family. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and fully housebroken.
