Howdy! My name is Mae but my foster family calls me Ana Mae. I am an 11-month-old Labrador Retriever-mix. I'm tall and athletic and weigh 83 pounds. Wow, I'm a big girl! I am bright, curious and very energetic. A 2-mile walk is easy; I come home and run zoomies around the yard! I have found playing with other dogs, in addition to daily walks, to be best for me. (My foster mom takes me to doggy day care twice a week to play with other dogs). I would love to have a big, fenced yard and a dog buddy in my forever home. I would be a great hiking and/or running partner! Last night I was watching the bats fly around - what is that mom? And I watch birds flying overhead, and even watch TV sometimes. What an interesting world! We went to a creek last week. I was afraid of the splashes when I first stepped in, but I got used to them. I liked the rocks and wanted to collect some; and there were tiny fish that swam by. I'm learning about deeper water, I'm not sure I know how to swim yet. I live with two cats. I would never hurt them, but I would like to play ... they are very good about setting boundaries! I don't have kids in my house, but when I meet kids, I like them. I'm enthusiastic enough that I would probably knock over small children though. Older kids would likely be okay. I know how to sit and lie down and am starting to 'stay'. I am housetrained. I am an award-winning chewer, but only my own things. I'm a great eater and I love treats. I sleep through the night in my bed. I am crate trained. I also ride well in the car. Overall, I'm a great pup who will benefit from continued training. The springs in my long legs need lots of exercise, and having another fun dog to play with will help. *******Adoption fee: $700 + $35 microchip fee ******* Mae is being fostered in the Corvallis, OR area.
