Munson A729939 10 Year Old Senior Male Labrador Retriever Mix Dumped At Horse Stable Needs Rescue ASAP We've all heard that cat's have '9 lives' but considering poor old Munson is even still alive at the shelter means some dog's get a few extra lives as well :| Munson is a medium sized 40 pounds Labrador Retriever Mix that was taken to the shelter on 10/10/24 after he was found abandoned near an equestrian center several days prior. When Munson arrived it did not look good for him and wasn't expected to even make it through the day, Munson appeared blind, extremely emaciated, had a large mass on his belly & chest, suffering from severe diarrhea (with one episode occurring at the front door), and could barely walk let alone stand upright for more than 60 seconds. When the shelters medical team wanted to give him the night to see how he does I was surprised... & when I was greeted to a semi active dog ready to walk that was able to navigate around I was amazed! While has displayed an appetite & become somewhat more active, his condition is not something the shelter can manage long term & needs rescue ASAP to find a nice quiet place to relax during his remaining days.
