Winnie is a 1-2 year old Rottie mix under 60 pounds, who is just the cutest! We got her out of a shelter in Texas after seeing a posting on FB about her being scheduled to be euthanized due to overcrowding. We don't know her history, but she was taken in as a stray. She will be a great dog, and she's already come a long way since we've had her. She still very much acts like a puppy (mouthy and wants to play ALL of the time, lots of energy), and she loves other dogs. She picked up housetraining quickly, along with the doggie door, and we are working on commands, boundaries, and stressors (vacuum, steam mop, vet's office). The e-collar has been a wonderful tool in communicating what we want from her, and she is doing better all of the time off leash. I believe she would do best in a home with a confident male dog (one close to her size or larger), or as a single dog, or with an active owner(s), no little kids, likely no cats. She goes out for at least 1.5 hours in the morning and another 45 minutes to an hour later in the day at either local off-leash dog parks with trails or around the neighborhood. She is usually pretty chill during the day as long as she's properly exercised and is super affectionate when she's calm in the evenings. We took her in with the intention of saving her and helping to find her the perfect forever home.
