About Dax

I have had Dax for about 3 years. Before coming into my home Dax was abused, neglected. He was in a cage most of the time. In an apartment where he got in trouble for making a noise. He became aggressive and was going to be removed from his previous living space. Since I have had him, he has improved greatly. I am still cautious when he meets new animals or humans. Once he gets to know them 3-4 meetings he is normally a good boy. I do not know about kids. I have not trusted him enough with his history along with how kids can be. He has been around 2 other dogs and a cat. He is food sensitive, otherwise he has been good. He does not like when humans put their hand out to smell and say hello. (I think he thinks he is going to be punished. He loves to be the center of attention. He is a lover. He does have anxiety. He gets scared and hides with loud noises. He is a wonderful protector. I can't keep him no matter how much I wish I could. He is a lover and such a good dog. He is just a special dog. I am going to miss him greatly. He loves to munch on ice cubes. He loves having a yard and able to be free from a leash.
