About Tamlin: Tamlin is a fun-loving, energetic, and affectionate dog looking for his forever home. At 2 years old, Tamlin enjoys a balanced mix of playtime, training, and relaxation. He's a great companion for someone who can match his enthusiasm and energy. Tamlin is especially fond of playing with chew toys, squeak toys, and will chase the ball but not always bring back. He also loves splashing around in the doggie pool and getting the zoomies when the water hose comes out! Tamlin is crate trained at night but likes it to be in same room with his person. He also rides well in the car, having been trained to safely travel in a crate. While he enjoys his walks, he's more of a leisurely stroller than a hiking enthusiast. Personality: Tamlin is a social dog who gets along with other dogs, though due to his playful and sometimes rough play style, dogs his size or larger would be the best fit. While he has lived with smaller dogs, he's been trained to 'leave them alone' and would likely thrive best with dogs who match his energy. He is not aggressive but can be excited and boisterous, so a home with older children or adults would suit him best. He knows basic commands like 'sit,' 'down,' and 'leave it,' especially when treats are involved. Training: Tamlin is a smart boy who responds well to positive reinforcement. He knows several commands such as 'sit,' 'down,' 'leave it,' and he's crate trained both at night and when left alone. He loves having his crate close to his person and thrives in a structured environment where he can feel secure. Ideal Home: Tamlin is looking for a home where he can get regular exercise, playtime, and affection. A family with prior SHELTER dog experience who understands his need to settle and adjust would be perfect. His previous adopters returned him after just a few days, though they acknowledged he was good 95% of the time. A patient adopter who can give Tamlin time to fully settle into his new environment will be rewarded with a loving and loyal companion. If you're looking for an active, loving dog who will be your best friend, Tamlin could be the one for you!
