Bio: Plume came in just needing a fresh start in life and was very underweight. She has several scars on her face, her neck and her torso. While we don't know her story, we can tell she's had a rough start. Lucky for her Our Pack brought her up to Wisconsin to live the good life! Plume has been on medical hold to gain weight and because her original blood work showed she was anemic (not surprising given how thin she was!) and she was fighting an infection. She finished her antibiotic course and she had her recheck and received a thumbs up that she's ready to start her forever home search! She's been eating like a champ getting exercise and boy has she taken advantage of that fresh start! She's a delight in her foster home. She listens well, being 2 she has zoomies but also likes to snore away on the couch. And this girl can snore, you know when she's sleeping! Currently we're working on puppy manners even though this girl is 2 we suspect she didn't have much of an opportunity to be a puppy and have training. Plume is an over-the-top happy girl. She's happy about EVERYTHING! S She has two areas we're focusing on in her foster home: Plume needs work on not jumping when she's excited. It's all done in love and excitement, but she needs to learn a little self-control S Plume also feels when any human sits on the couch she should be on them, smothering them with kisses constantly. (we told you she's a happy dog!) We're working on letting her know when the appropriate time is for that, and when she needs to give a little space! Even an inch! Plume will need continued training on both behaviors in her forever home so she can be the best dog ever! Plume is quiet in a kennel, but also has been left out when foster mom is gone. While being left out (with no destruction) and being crated is going well in her foster home adopters should realize when settling into a new house there may be an adjustment period. Even though Plume came in very underweight she has no food aggression, or resource guarding and eats alongside the four other dogs in her foster home with no issue. (Well the only issue is she's a little too nice, and will let the resident dogs edge her out!) Our Pack Animal Rescue, Inc. Is an all foster based rescue. Meet and greets are arranged after an application has been approved. Preapproval applications for future adoption are welcome.
