About Poppy

Oh Poppy, just look at this sweet girl! Poppy is a 7 year old, 22 pound cocker spaniel who is ready to be swept up and loved on forever. She is a laid back lady who likes to sleep at your feet and soak up any pets, love and food that you're able to give her. She is respectful around other dogs and does well with her dog friends in her foster home. Poppy's little tail wags at warp speed when she's getting her people attention and when she's trying to be friends with the cat. She is working on her leash skills, house manners and a fenced yard would be a must. She was an outside dog for a long time so her new family has to be patient as she adjusts to being snug as a bug in a rug inside her home. Poppy has cataracts in her eyes but she sees enough to get around without a problem - she has even sought out the toys and is now walking around with them. There isn't much she doesn't like and she would make a wonderful addition to many a home. If Poppy's adopter chooses to have her cataracts removed, we will help raise money for that.
