Foster or adopter needed Sometimes - not often, thankfully! - an adoption doesn't work out and, as our contract requires, the family contacts us. We always back our dogs and will always take a dog back into the rescue if necessary. Kobe is a dog who came to us as a small puppy, along with the rest of his litter and his mom. He was adopted by a wonderful family who love him dearly. However, as their baby has turned into a toddler, Kobe has turned out to be 'too much dog' for them. They have tried. They have worked with a trainer. Kobe, however, bowls over the baby without meaning it. The baby gets scared, and cries, and it is just not a workable situation. Our trainer went and met Kobe and his family and he agrees that the best choice is for Kobe to come back to us. And so he will! - as soon as we can find a foster for him. For everyone's sake we'd like that to happen quickly. If you live in CT and can foster or adopt Kobe, please fill out an application online: https://www.allaboutthedogsrescue.org/get-involved Kobe is a FABULOUS dog. At about one year old, he is still very much a puppy, with puppy energy. He'd love an active family, and a fenced yard would be his idea of heaven. He is a friendly, lovable, amazingly handsome young gentleman! He loves people, and could happily live with children 10+ years old. He's a big boy, weighing about 70 lbs, so young children in the home would not be a good match. We don't want a repetition of the situation he's in right now. He also gets on well with dogs of similar size, with proper introductions. Kobe's family has been conscientious about training, and he knows his basics. He is a pit bull mix dog and we will give preference to families with prior experience with bully breeds.
