Courtesy Posting: EMERGENCY- 5 YOUNG PUPPIES DUMPED - FOSTERS & RESCUE NEEDED TO SAVE THESE PUPPIES. South Los Angeles- 4 females, 1 male (maybe 3 months old?) found at a fast food parking lot in South LA, left to starve. We do not know the breeds they are mixed with as there were no signs of the parents apparently. The finder contacted us and is someone we worked with her once before to place an injured chow she had found hit by a car in the street. This very mature and responsible, caring 16 year old girl brought them temporarily to her home. Please note she goes to school remotely part time while she cares for her disabled mother, and they have several of their own rescue dogs already. Obviously, this home cannot possibly care for them much longer, nor afford vetting understandably. They are in South LA. The good samaritan/finder does not want to bring the puppies to the local shelter which is already well beyond capacity, knowing this will either cause others already there to be euthanized for space, and or these puppies later. While they could possibly find local people willing to take the puppies, these dogs are very likely unvaccinated and unaltered, and we do not need other people then possibly dumping or not vetting, fixing, etc and then adding further to the pet crisis we have here, and particularly in South LA. We are therefore looking for a rescue to help (we will help to raise funds for vetting, if so), as well as local fosters who may be able to take them in. Please contact [email protected] with Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network who can put rescues in touch with the finder. Also, if anyone would like to donate (pledge) for these puppies' care, please let us know, and we can keep you posted if a rescue steps up, or a vet can accept donations to provide needed vaccinations, spay/neuter, etc.
