About Wilbur

I don't know how soooo much love, affection, and silliness has been packed into such small guy, but Wilbur is the BEST. He love ALL people - big dogs, little dogs, medium sized dogs. Wilbur was born on June 26. He and his mom and siblings came to us when he was 5 weeks old. Wilbur is a blue tick beagle (with maybe a little Basset in him). His mom weighed about 17 pounds. Wilbur knows how to use the doggie door to go in and out. He loves to play with ALL dogs, especially bigger dogs that like to run and chase.He loves to snuggle and get belly rubs. He walks good on a leash and is currently being walked 3 times a day by his foster. He visits the dog park on a daily basis and LOVES it!!! Wilbur is an absolute dream of a puppy and will be a terrific addition to the right family.Wilbur needs an active household with a fenced in yard and at lest one other energetic doggie sibling to play with. He needs a home where someone will be around (not gone for long hours a lot) to continue working with him with things such as house training. Wilbur is available with a pre-approved application and a scheduled visit. Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster-based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
