Sargent Sam is only 2 years old. He set to die because he is scared out of his mind, yet reading his bio, there is a good boy waiting to emerge from his terror. 'Sargent Sam is a dog who loves cheese and managed to climb into the lap of a handler, seeking pets, but would get scared if the handler moved too quickly' [and] is scared of squeaky toys. ...'During his behavioral evaluation, he warmed up to one of the handlers, even giving some play bows and cuddles!' 'He also had a good dog meet. 'At the shelter, Sarg has had a good meet with another dog. During his meet, he allowed for polite sniffs, then went straight into bouncy play bows towards the other dog. He would seek affection from the handler, get some pets, and go straight back into playful and bouncy bows! Look at his videos and see what a sweet boy he can be: Sargent Sam hanging out: https://youtube.com/shorts/YcGmpl_B_M0?feature=share Sargent Sam meets Misha: https://youtu.be/R0giK_c2unQ Meet Sargent Sam, a young boy who is urgently seeking placement with a rescue organization that can provide him a calm environment for him to decompress and learn to trust. Sarg came to the shelter on 9/29 by a police officer who found him. When brought to the shelter, Sarg was tense and nervous. During his time at the shelter, he has shown reactivity in the kennel and on leash. Due to his reactivity, Sarg would thrive best in a home without children. His videos say 1,000 words a pic can't so please text me for them . Please save him he is such a good boy !!!! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSebuok11p8JM4fh6I-bMgZobY4udHLNDoMAjzg5oIMRmGeXSQ/viewform If the link to the form doesn't work, email lifesaving@acctp Sargent Sam is currently considered urgent and at risk of euthanasia due to behavioral concerns.
