Lycan knows sit: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/B9wumiTOA8 Lycan is a super polite beautiful boy who was found by the police and hitched a ride to the shelter in a police cruiser. While he was very scared during his first exam, Lycan has shown what a friendly boy he is when one on one with his human pals. Lycan loves treats and pets and has been described as sweet, gentle, and energetic. Because of his initial aloofness, Lycan is looking for a home with children over the age of 13. He had a good dog meet while at the shelter and is open to meeting other dogs. Here is what Lycan's friends say about this lovely pup.: Per volunteer 10/5: Sweet, energetic! Per Daytrip: Lycan was the bestest companion for a hike and we even stopped off at a dog cafe where he sat and soaked in the atmosphere. Lycan came off as energetic as soon as we started the hike, he had excellent leash manners and loved every moment of exploration. We even sat for a picnic where it was belly rub and pets time in Lycan's world! He's a really really good dog! He knows sit and will sit by you and watch the world go by. He was also the calmest car passenger, please someone come for Lycan! Per volunteer 10/5: Sweet, energetic! Per volunteers 9/23 10/4: Perfect walking dog. Good boy Per Volunteer 9/22: Loves tennis balls treats Easy in & out [of kennel]. Likes treats. Gentle. Per Volunteer 9/21: Very well behaved and polite boy! When I approached his kennel I could see that he was trembling but was attentive and had a wagging tail. I leashed very easily and he walks well with minimal pulling. Out in the play yard he took treats soo nicely, and was much more loose and wiggly than inside! He even ran around a bit after getting comfortable. He had a dog barking at him through the fence and he didn't react at all. Per Volunteers 9/17 9/19: timid but sweet g Per Staff 9/17:Lycan did much better outside today! He was easy to leash and was laying on his bed and glanced up at the handler and allowed her to easily place the leash on his head. In the room he was much more social today and open to interaction. He was wiggling and had soft eyes, low wags and allowed all handling. .. and was very gentle and easy to handle! He took treats gently and showed knowledge of sit and shake. Lycan is currently considered urgent and at risk of euthanasia due to length of stay and lack of space for incoming dogs. Lycan must have confirmed placement with a RESCUE PARTNER or ADOPTER by THURSDAY, OCTOBER 10TH at 10AM.
