Meet Olive, a sweet and smart 10-month-old Boxer mix with a heart full of love! Weighing 33 pounds, Olive has a stunning coat and beautiful long legs. She came to Safe Haven from a Texas shelter where she faced euthanasia due to lack of space. At such a young age, Olive didn't deserve that fate, and now she's ready for her second chance at life! Olive is a wonderful companion who gets along well with cats and absolutely loves playing with other dogs. She enjoys her toys and has a fondness for chewing on bones. In her foster home, Olive has been an excellent houseguest, showing no interest in chewing on furniture or things that don't belong to her. While Olive is friendly with all humans, she may be best suited for a family with older children, as she's still full of puppy energy. She's making great progress with leash walking and potty training and is very treat-motivated. Olive is eager to learn and has already mastered commands like 'sit,' 'lay,' 'crawl,' and 'up'! She would thrive in a home willing to continue teaching her new things. Olive is up to date on vaccines and has already been spayed, so she's ready to join her forever family! Unfortunately, Olive is Heartworm positive, but she's already started her 30 days of antibiotics and will receive further treatment, fully covered by Safe Haven. Heartworm is not contagious and can't be transmitted to you or your pets. Because of her treatment, Olive is part of our Foster-to-Adopt program, where your family fosters her until she's medically cleared for adoption. Safe Haven provides all the supplies, food, crate, leash, collar, and vet care at our partner vets while she's in your care. If you're ready to help Olive complete her heartworm treatment and give her a forever home, apply today! Our standard adoption fee is $375 cash or check and $385 credit card ($10 processing fee). . It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping. We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Applications will not be reviewed unless fully completed. An application does not commit you to adopting and does not guarantee adoption but does allow us to begin the review process. Please email [email protected] for an application or additional details. Safe Haven Dog Rescue reserves the right to refuse adoption of any dog or puppy to any applicant (adopter) for any reason.
