About Boone

Meet Boone! Boone is a handsome 1-year-old Labrador Retriever mix with plenty of energy and love to share. Weighing around 60 pounds, he's the perfect combination of playful and affectionate. Boone loves to explore the outdoors, so if you're an active person who enjoys hiking, running, or long walks, he'll make the perfect companion! Though he's energetic and sometimes rambunctious, Boone also has a sweet 'couch potato' side. After a fun day of playing or exploring, he's happy to settle down and relax with his family, making him a great balance of active and mellow. He's not just dog-friendly-Boone is great with kids and cats, making him a wonderful fit for families with children or multiple pets. Like many young dogs, Boone is still learning his boundaries-he's an enthusiastic chewer, so he'll need plenty of chew toys and patience while he learns what's appropriate. Boone is also working on feeling comfortable in his crate. While he may bark or whine at first due to loneliness, he sometimes uses his voice to let you know he needs a potty break! With consistent training and positive reinforcement, he's making great progress. Boone is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and microchipped. He's doing great with house-training and is learning his leash manners. Boone would do best in a home with an active family or individual who can continue his training and give him lots of attention and exercise, but who also appreciates a good cuddle session on the couch.
