About Stevie

Stevie is a 3 year old, 23lb French bulldog. This sweet baby had a rough start to life, but that doesn't stop him from loving life and the people he meets. He was born in a commercial breeding facility and suffered a traumatic injury that left him blind shortly after birth. He was then used for breeding before finally finding his way to the rescue. He initially was very overstimulated around other dogs, but has gotten a lot better and now enjoys playing with them. He is learning his way around the house and backyard, but will need to be somewhere safe with limited stairs or places he could end up hurting himself in. He responds well to voices and clapping. We are working on leash training, crate training, and potty training. He has done well with potty training when let out frequently. He doesn't love the crate, but is well behaved if you put him in one. This boy is so sweet and resilient! He doesn't let his disability slow him down! He is finally ready for his happily ever after!
