VIDEO INCLUDED: Meet Maxwell (Max) originally known as Angelo. Your Future Best Friend! Maxwell's story began with heartbreak. He was found tied to a pole at a bus station by Animal Control, but despite his tough start, he remains full of love and joy. This 1-1/2-year-old Golden Retriever mix is not only stunning with his gorgeous eyes but also has a personality that will melt your heart. Rescued from Lancaster Animal Care Center, Max was a staff favorite and served as the 'helper dog.' He was on the euthanasia list, but we couldn't let such a sweet soul be lost. He's a total love bug who's friendly, affectionate, and great with kids and other dogs. We're so impressed with how good-natured and carefree Max is. He's incredibly mellow and just wags his tail as he explores his surroundings. His foster is amazed by how gentle he is with her dog, and he's learning to walk on a leash like a perfect gentleman. Max is treat motivated and super easy to train- he picked up 'sit' and 'down' in minutes! He loves toys, playing ball, and most of all, getting attention and hugs. He's eager to please and loves being with people, making him the ultimate companion. With his cool, calm, and laid-back personality, it must be the Golden in him!
