She was taken to a vet and had to have 3 pounds of fur shaved off her little 15 pound frail body, under anasthesia. She is blind and deaf! And, only guessed to be between 5-8 years old! She was terrified of people and would stiffen up in fear when she was picked up. Although she is still afraid, she IS improving everyday. Her foster mom is very protective of her and giving her all the love and care she needs and deserves! She is relaxing more everyday and learning her surroundings and becoming more comfortable. ~ I will be very picky with who she goes to and an application will have to be filled out and all references will be called. Experience with special needs pups is required. Buttercup will need someone loving and patient. This little one has been through hell and back. ~ Buttercup is in a foster home. Apptointment will need to be made to meet her. From the vet: Buttercup is diagnosed with Presumptive KCS, a condition in which the tear ducts don't produce enough tears to keep the eyes moist; Otitis Externa (commonly referred to as swimmers' ear in humans); some pain in her back limbs; and mammary tumors which will need to be checked into by your vet. They said they recommend these mammary tumors are removed as sores have started to form on the underside of some of her tumors which could cause some serious infection. She left the vet with 5 medications for her eyes and ears and also pain and inflammation. She is for the most part blind and hard of hearing, but they said she can hear some loud sounds like snapping, etc. She is Heartworm Negative which is a blessing!
