About RUBY

Ruby is a delightful 6-year-old bull terrier mix, weighing in at a sturdy 60 pounds. With her spayed status, she is current on all vaccinations and has tested negative for both heartworm and Lyme disease, ensuring she is in good health. Ruby's journey to us began as a stray, and through our research, we discovered that she was initially adopted from a local shelter. Unfortunately, her life saw several changes in her living situation, leading to her current stay with us. Despite the upheaval in her past, Ruby remains an incredibly sweet, loving, and happy companion. While she prefers the company of humans over other dogs, that doesn't dampen her playful spirit. Ruby delights in engaging with a variety of toys and relishes her daily long walks, where she can soak up the sunshine and explore her surroundings. Ruby envisions a future filled with warmth and love, dreaming of a soft, comfy bed positioned next to her chosen person or people. Thank you for looking at dogs from the Guernsey County Dog Warden Dept. We are a county run facility in Cambridge, OH, we are NOT a no kill shelter! Unfortunately, we must euthanize due to illness or aggression. Adoption fees are $165 for dogs under 5 years old, $100 for dogs over 5 years old and $200 for cell dogs. Adoption fees include, Vaccine (DHPP), Bordetella, Microchip, Heartworm and Lyme testing, Rabies vaccine, Spay/Neuter and a dog license. Dogs will be required to be spayed/neutered before leaving shelter, if not an appointment will be scheduled before leaving the shelter. Please talk to shelter staff for more information. We only accept cash. We cannot take checks, debit or credit cards. You may also call the shelter: Office hours are Tuesday-Saturday 9am-5pm.
