At just about 1 year old and weighing a healthy 47 pounds, Snyder embodies a friendly and affectionate spirit that makes him an ideal companion. His playful nature shines through as he delights in running around and playing with his favorite people, enjoying every moment of their company. Snyder gets along well with most other dogs, although he has faced some challenges in the past. Because of this, he would thrive best in a home with an experienced owner who understands the nuances of his breed. Help from a knowledgeable guardian will ensure he matures into the well-behaved and wonderful dog he has the potential to be. As an eager learner, Snyder is currently mastering leash etiquette and is highly motivated by treats, which makes training sessions both engaging and fun. It's important to note that he is still adjusting to regular meal times and can eat his food quite rapidly, along with eagerly snatching treats. With a little patience, love, and consistent training, he'll soon learn to enjoy his meals at a more relaxed pace. Thank you for looking at dogs from the Guernsey County Dog Warden Dept. We are a county run facility in Cambridge, OH, we are NOT a no kill shelter! Unfortunately, we must euthanize due to illness or aggression. Adoption fees are $165 for dogs under 5 years old, $100 for dogs over 5 years old and $200 for cell dogs. Adoption fees include, Vaccine (DHPP), Bordetella, Microchip, Heartworm and Lyme testing, Rabies vaccine, Spay/Neuter and a dog license. Dogs will be required to be spayed/neutered before leaving shelter, if not an appointment will be scheduled before leaving the shelter. Please talk to shelter staff for more information. We only accept cash. We cannot take checks, debit or credit cards. You may also call the shelter: Office hours are Tuesday-Saturday 9am-5pm.
