About Brenna

Belgian Malinois mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Intake Info: Brenna came to ACC on August 25th with no microchip. The ACO reported that she was nervous at first, but then opened up and was easily placed on the truck. We did not have information of her owner nor history. Brenna went to a foster-to-adopt home on August 31st, but was unfortunately returned on September 11th, with the foster stating that Brenna was not getting along with adopter's dog at home (a golden doodle). The foster stated Brenna went after her dog's face, but fortunately did not break the skin, and feels that she would do best as the only dog in the home. Medical: Brenna is heartworm negative, fully vaccinated, and spayed. She did well for processing. Behavior Observed: During the most recent dog test with Kemba, Brenna was very sweet with him through the gate and once Kemba came inside the yard, she wanted to meet him. She remained loose and wiggly on walk-bys. Once they met, Brenna ran with Kemba in push/pull play. She would jump over Kemba and he would mouth fence with her. Brenna was very puppy like and bounces a lot while playing. Brenna ran around the yard and played with tennis balls to get some energy out before she met him. Volunteer Notes: Brenna is a very sweet and affectionate young girl. She is playful with the volunteers, easy to leash and walk through the kennel, and wants a lot of attention. She also takes treats very gently. Request to Rescues: Brenna needs urgent rescue help because of the behavior reported in the foster's home. The shelter is over capacity and we need to be able to pair dogs. Unfortunately due to her behaviors reported, sadly we cannot pair her with another dog here in the shelter. Brenna is a sweet, high energy girl who needs some training and a patient, dedicated owner who can bring the best side of her out through working with a behaviorist. She can be your best pal to experience outdoor activities, or rest together on the cozy sofa in the quiet evenings.
