THESE SHEPHERDS ARE WITH THEIR CURRENT OWNER AND I TRY TO SAVE THEM BY FINDING GREAT HOMES FOR THEM BEFORE CURRENT OWNERS TAKE THEM TO THE SHELTER OR TO BE EUTHANIZED! URGENT! [Case opened on 8/10/24]. BATAVIA, OHIO . 4.5 Y/O FEMALE GSD. Her name is 'ZULA '. UTD on shots WITH record. Fixed. NOT Good with kids. (READ BELOW). Good with dogs, BUT WANTING TO PLACE IN A NO PET HOME. Good with cats, BUT WANTING TO PLACE IN A NO PET HOME. House trained. Crate trained. No known medical issues. HIGH ENERGY. HIGH PREY DRIVE . Currently on PEDIGREE food. Weighs 80 lbs. Good with car rides. Favorite Playtime and Toy: Zula loves to run. She loves playing ball. She loves to play in water. She loves to go on walks. She also just loves chilling on the couch. Zula needs a Breed Experienced Person who can work with her through her fears and anxieties. Zula is extremely protective and she is very fearful and aggressive towards strangers. She has nipped people in the past and the Current Shepherd Parent just cannot do this anymore. Her 15 year old daughter was out side walking in the dark and Zula went outside to go potty and saw her and ran after her and bit her. It was dark outside so no way of knowing if Zula thought it was a stranger on her property or if she knew it was the daughter. But the Current Shepherd Parent does not want to take the risk of this happening again since she has 4 kids. Because of her unpredictability, Zula will do best in a home with NO kids and NO other pets. She is very intelligent and knows Basic Commands. She has Good Recall. She is okay on a leash, however she will sometimes pull. She is very lovable to her person. I feel that Zula is very misunderstood. She is very loyal and loving to her person. I feel that Zula may be a one- person Shepherd and needs a home that does not have a lot of visitors coming and going so that she can relax and be comfortable in her home. She needs someone that has time and commitment to work with her and help her to be the best girl that she can be and to thrive. She needs a kind and patient Parent who is knowledgeable to work with her through these issues. Current Shepherd Parent also says that Zula does better with men than with women.
