About Gabe

Gabe is a seven yr old rescue and it has been a long journey. Although he has his challenges with resource guarding, aggression, and anxiety, it has been rewarding to see him improve over the past six years. We've worked with several trainers to improve his behaviors, and he still has a way to go. He would benefit from a single-pet home with no kids, and a handler experienced with reactive dogs with behavioral issues. He was an avid hiking companion in his youth. Now he enjoys mellow sniff walks and long afternoon naps. His owner must have patience and willingness to provide consistent training to establish a trusting bond. He is 85 lbs with a brindle coat. Crate trained, muzzle trained, and takes fluoxetine for anxiety. Our home is no longer a good fit for him as we are expecting a child. We love Gabe dearly and want to see him find a safe home.
