About Riley

Catahoula woo hoo! Won't you take this girl home?��%BD��%BD%BD%A0 Riley was made for fresh air and fun-shine! She is ideal for those who enjoy hiking, boating, camping, geocaching, you name it. If you want a companion to really include in your life, Riley is always ready for a road trip. But don't think you have to keep her busy 24/7 because this gal knows the value of a good, long nap. Let's be honest. Many of us like dogs more than people. Whether or not you do, you'll surely understand how Riley likes people more than dogs. She is a loving family member and enjoys being with people she knows. She prefers getting attention from loved ones so don't expect her to be a social butterfly.��%BD��%BD%BD%A0 Though people are her favorite, Riley tolerates most dogs, especially like-sized males. She politely passes by dogs when out on walks and hikes. At other times, she may want to play with another dog, ignore them, or will be fearful and remove herself.��%BD��%BD%BD%A0 Riley would much rather have her home and yard to herself and has made it known. She does not do well with peers within her own space which is common for her breed. (She's had two incidents with another dog which will be explained to those interested in adopting Riley.)��%BD��%BD%BD%A0 So why does Riley need a new home if she's such a nice dog? From her point of view, her pet parents ruined the good life by bringing home a squirmy little attention hog who cries and babbles and interrupts her sleep. She says it's time to move on to greener pastures where kids are out of the equation.��%BD��%BD%BD%A0 If you're familiar with Catahoula Leopard Dogs, you can see how Riley has their typical traits. They are generally affectionate, playful, energetic, and alert. They can be aloof around strangers, but they're not aggressive toward people. With a territorial nature, they don't always get along with other household pets.��%BD��%BD%BD%A0 Riley is a dream dog for a person or couple who are outdoorsy, but who also appreciate staying home to cuddle. Adopters should be experienced with medium to large dogs with similar behaviors. No pets, adults only. Riley is Spayed, healthy, UTD on shots, housetrained, mannerly, and gorgeous!��%BD��%BD%BD%A0 Riley has two requests. She is so used to people working from home that she hopes to have a similar situation. Also, she would like a fenced yard.
