About Walter

***URGENT URGENT*** This beautiful black lab mix is named Walter! Unfortunately he is not doing well in the kennel and has been given a deadline of 10/5. HE MUST BE OUT BEFORE OR BY 10/5 OR HE WILL BE EUTHANIZED!!! We are desperately looking for a foster or adopter for this sweet boy. Here are the notes that another volunteer wrote about him: 'I am in love with him! So sweet and affectionate! He is listed as 5 years old but I think he is much younger. Definitely still has that puppy energy! He was so happy to explore the trails! Very food motivated!! Positive body language passing other dogs, I think he really wants to play! He is just the best!' Here are notes we have on Walter: - Neutered male black lab mix, 50 lbs - Listed as 5 yrs but seems younger - Seems to be potty trained - Non-reactive to other dogs - Likes to be close to his person - Gently takes treats & very treat motivated which would help with training - Extremely affectionate & loves butt rubs - Seems eager to please - Happy, happy tail-wagging boy - Strong when first exiting the kennel but settles, would do best on a harness - Would do best with an active family or with a family that has a backyard - Has some puppy tendancies & would need decompression time out of the shelter, best in a home without young children Please message me for more details - I can walk you through the process for fostering or staycation and am happy to meet at the shelter.
