About Bear

Bear is a 7.5 years old french bulldog mix who is very sweet and is looking for a nice place to cal home. My family has had him since he was born and I have noticed over the years that he has been put on the back burner. Over the last few years, my family has not been paying as much attention to him and easily preventable problems have come up that ive been treating. He is pretty allergic to fleas, and needs to keep up with it otherwise he will scratch himself raw. This is the 3rd time where I have had to treat him and at this point I feel that it would be better if he is rehomed. he has been predominately an outside dog, so he does have some of those habits. he hasn't been fixed yet, so he marks from time to time. he's fairly good with other animals and warms up to them well. (we currently have cats/dogs, he gets along with them well) He does have the tendency to walk up to other dogs to get a smell, which can be a little issue but his recall is good. I'm looking to rehome him to someone wo can give him the amount of attention he wants. He is up to date with his dhpp and rabies vaccines. He isn't neutered. I work as a vet tech and got him treated for fleas and for the skin infection he developed with that. I wanted to wait until he had recovered before trying to rehome him, which he has recovered from. The only medical issue he has at the moment is that one of his big upper teeth is fractured. It does not affect his eating at the moment, but it is an issue that will need to be addressed. I will make sure he is vaccinated and that he will have a dose of flea/tick prevention, to whom ever is interested in possibly accepting him. I can provide the vaccine records. I just can't handle having any more animals, I currently have 2 ball pythons and a cat, and that is quite overwhelming for me which is why I can't take him with me. Bear is a really sweet dog and all he really wants is for someone to spoil him a bit. He loves getting pets and is fairly food motivated. I know that he would prefer being a cuddling lap dog. He is a little needy but not extremely anxious. He can be ok alone. Not house broken but he is food motivated, so with time this habit can be broken.
